Sunnusteins puppies on the way!
Sunnusteins Sunna Rögg gave birth to 5 puppies January 17th 2011, fathered by Arnarstađa Askur.Below you can find information about the puppies parents but by clicking here you can see the puppies!
Both Sunna and Askur have healthy hips, HD FRI A, and healthy eyes. The parents of both also have healthy hips and eyes.

Sunnusteins Sunna Rögg (HD FRI A, Eyes FRI)
Both Sunna and Askur have gone
through mentality evulation (Swedish method, MH) by the Icelandic Kennel Club
(HRFÍ).
They both have been shown in dogshows, helt by HRFÍ and DÍF :
- Arnarstađa Askur got his best results in the DÍF speciality show in
January 2006. He was only a junior but won a point towards champion title and
became the best male of breed. His mother was BOB in the same show and Sunna
Rögg was nr. 1 in the junior class.
Askur won a second point towards ISCH title in the HRFÍ anniversary show judged
by breed specialist Guđrún R. Guđjohnsen. Askur became the best male of breed
nr. 2 but his syster from the same litter was the best bitch and his halfbrother
became best of breed.
- Sunnusteins Sunna Rögg got her best results in the DÍF speciality
show in September 2006 where she was awarded champion quality and became the
best bitch of breed nr. 4.

The inbreeding coefficient (5 generation, LatHunden) between Arnarstađa Askur and Sunnusteins Sunna Rögg is only 0,2% which is on the level that is recomented to maintain the genetic variation of the Icelandic Sheepdog population and in the background are many very nice dogs. The parents of Arnarstađa Askur are Kolgrímur and ISCH Leiru Runa Gunn. The parents of Sunnusteins Sunna Rögg are Sunnusteins Canis and ISCH Kersins Katla. When you look at 5 generation you will only find 1 dog in both the pedigree of Sunna and Askur, that is ISCH Íslands Garđa Tinni, the first dog ever to become Icelandic Champion. He is the great-great-grandfather of them both. The 5 generation pedigree can be seen below.
